  Illinois State Checker Tournament
The Illinois State Checker Tournament will be held March 31st - April 1st , 2012 in Illinois Centre Mall, Marion, IL . The 107th Illinois State Checker Tournament will be held on March 31st & April 1st, 2012 at the Illinois Centre Mall, which is located near the intersection of 57 and State Highway 13 (Exit 54B), Marion, Illinois. Registration on Saturday is from 8:00-9:00 a.m. with the business meeting at 9:00 a.m. and playing beginning at 9:45 a.m. There will be four rounds on Saturday and three on Sunday. I hope to have enough players for a “C” division to attract beginners. The entry fee will be $10.00.

A recommended motel is the Super 8 in Marion, Illinois. Phone number for the Super 8 is 618-993-5577. Room rates are $45.00 plus tax. The West Tennessee Open Strawberry Festival Checker Tournament will be held May 11th - 12th , 2012 in Humboldt, TN . The 75th Annual West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Checker Tournament will be held at the "Regions Bank” 1214 Main St. Humboldt, TN. Same location as in past years.   Mississippi State Open Tournament
The Mississippi State Open Tournament will be held May 26th , 2012 in ICHF Petal, Mississippi . THE 2012 Mississippi State Open Checker Tournament will be held Saturday, May 26th at Hall II - ICHF, 220 Lynn Ray Road,Petal, MS 39465.
The Mississippi Open is traditionally held every Memorial Day weekend.

Tournament starts at 8:30AM and represents the MS Open as well as the opening of the continued renovations and additions to the ICHF facility.   Texas / District 8 Championship
The Texas / District 8 Championship will be held June 15th - 16th , 2012 in Super 8 Motel, 910 N. Central Expressway (on Highway 75), McKinney, TX 75069 . The Texas State and District 8 Open Tournament will be held June 15th and 16th, beginning registration at 8:00 a.m., a short business meeting at 8:30 am, with play starting at 9:00 am on Friday, and 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The ACF National Checker Tournament will be held July 30th - August 4th , 2012 in Americas Best Value Inn & Suites, Lebanon, TN . Tournament runs Monday through Saturday, but Majors/Minors Divisions will finish on Friday. The tournament will consist of 8 rounds (four-game rounds). ACF Membership ($40/year) is required and may be paid during registration (entry fee to be determined).

The ACF District 7 will be held August 11th , 2012 in Joyce Raye Patterson Center, 100 S. 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO 64501 . As in the past, the tournament will be played under 3-Move, using the Swiss System of scoring. There will be 8 rounds at 2 games per round. The District 4 will be held November 2nd - 3rd , 2012 in Lexington, NC . 2012 District 4 Checker Tournament will be held November 2nd & 3th in the fellowship hall, Gethsemane Baptist Church on 622 Hill Everhart Rd. Lexington, NC 27295-9138 phone: (336) 243-1605.

Players will lodge at the Holiday Inn Express (4 star) at 351 Vineyards Crossing, Lexington, NC 27295, (336) 224-6730. Checker players rate $65.00 which you should book your reservation early and tell receptionist you are a checker player. Registration will be handled in the playing room at the fellowship hall on Friday morning between 8:30 - 9:30 AM. A short business meeting is scheduled following registration. Play begins 10:00 AM Friday.

The tournament will consist of 8 rounds: 4 rounds on Friday, 4 rounds on Saturday, with lunch served both days, Players Dinner at 6:00 PM Friday evening.

The Alabama Open & District 5 will be held November 9th - 10th , 2012 in Imperial Inn, Haleyville AL . The 2012 Alabama Open Checker Tournament will be held in Haleyville, AL November 9th & 10th - Friday and Saturday in the Meeting Room at the Galley Restaurant located at 1260 11th Ave, Haleyville, AL 205-486-9620.
