Ready to join the American Checker Federation?
Great! You have several options:

Use the ACF Membership Store to purchase or extend your membership using PayPal. Note that there is a small surcharge to cover PayPal's transaction fees.

Join at any ACF tournament -- if no ACF representatives are around, you can give your dues payment to the tournament director, and he or she will make sure it gets to the right place.

Send a check or money order (payable to the American Checker Federation) to the ACF Treasurer:

If you use email, please include your email address with your check.
ACF memberships run for twelve months, and include a wallet-sized ACF membership card good for entrance into any open tournament. We offer several different membership options, to fit a range of needs and budgets.

A full ACF membership ($40 in the US, $45 in Canada, and $50 overseas) gives you the right to enter ACF tournaments, to earn an official rating, to vote for ACF officers, and to receive the ACF Bulletin six times a year.

If you wish, you may opt for email delivery of the bulletin, which helps keep membership costs down and which gives you access to the ACFB two weeks sooner than the print version.

Members outside the US may buy a full year of membership with emailed bulletins for the discounted price of $40!

Players under age 18 qualify for a junior membership ($15/year), which includes rated tournament play and email delivery of the ACFB

If you just want to try out tournament play, you can buy an associate membership for $15/year. Associate members can play in ACF tournaments, but don't receive the ACFB or the other membership privileges that full members get. We do ask that you limit your associate membership to one year -- you can upgrade at any time during that year to start enjoying all the ACF has to offer!

Finally, you can invest in the ACF and the future of the game with a life membership ($515). A life membership guarantees you a lifetime of full ACF member privileges, with a special bonus: free copies of Selected Games from our National Tournaments. Life members are exempt from annual dues and are protected from any future increases in those dues, so it's a great way to start your checkers career!
