"Checkers-His "Bread and Butter"-answer

Postby Mr. Checkers on Tue Mar 20, 2007 4:33 pm

 Many years ago it was very commonplace to play a game of checkers for a little money or for a beer on the side. I can't immediately recall anyone ever making their living from playing checkers. But to this icon of our game checkers was his "Bread and Butter"--and in no uncertain terms he would let you know that. "Checker Trivia" question of the Day"? Who was this fine gentleman of our game? "Inky"
