From NC website:

2016 Morrison vs Moiseyev 11-Man Ballot WTM
September 2nd through 5th, 2016 at the Econo Lodge Hotel, 2133 Hanford Rd, Burlington, NC 27215 (336) 227-1270 ( map )

GM Jim Morrison, challenger & GM Alex Moiseyev, 11-Man World Champion reached a preliminary agreement to play their 11-Man Ballot World Championship Match in Burlington, NC over the Labor Day weekend. They confirmed to split the prize fund 60/40 between winner and runner-up of the match. In the event of a tied match, it will be divided 50/50 and the current title holder, Alex Moiseyev will remain World 11-Man Ballot Champion. We may use Econo Lodge if they can provide us with a fast and dependable WiFi internet, otherwise we will use another hotel. Their tentative schedule is to play a 16 game match over 4 days as September 2nd thru 5th (Friday-Monday (Labor Day), with the option of playing an additional 4 games (tie breaker play-off) on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016 if an even score after 16 games. We anticipate John Acker will direct video media by video streaming games, and keeping the public and the checker community updated and informed on the match's progress and final results.

Jim Loy told me recently that he plans to extend his "11 man ballot" manuscript and add here matches:

1) 1928 Banks - Long match,
2) Games of the 1972 Grover - Martin match,
3) My later matches 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 (not played yet!)

Me and John Acker already arrived to hotel. Jom Morrison is already there and this guarantee us that match is going to be start tomorrow.

On Sunday John takes "day off" from his referee duties and it is more likely that Tim Laverty replace him. John probably will post more details about broadcasting and how to access it.

All for now, stay on for more news.

So for all ballots ended drawn and the match is still very close.

The quality of the games is high, and so far the two bloody games were indeed the only games with winning possibilities for one side, or maybe someone can show one or the other missed opportunities that I failed to find ?

Of course, we can not compare apples to oranges, and the balloted openings also are very different, but we can conclude that the number of mistakes made by top programs in the ongoing computer program tournament by Krzysztof Grzelak is signigficantly higher.

Ingo, based on my own feelings and impressions - I don't beleive that rather than two losses in games #5 and #6, me or Jim missed something more than just better opportunity or stronger play. However, only analysts can prove this.

On intreresting note ... yesterday me and Jim abonded one opening: red off 5, white off 28, 9-14 22-18.

See on diagram position after opening moves:

Red to move.

It will be interesting to see - what our analysts-experts think about this position and if their verdict prove Jim and my decision eliminate this opening as loss ?
