Congratulations to Roy Little, Problemist of the Year for the second straight year.

2015 was the fourth consecutive year that unofficial world championship checker problem composing contests were hosted bimonthly on this web site.

That period has produced a plethora of original, unpublished problems by prolific composers. The prodigious backlog has permitted construction of competitive contests around comparable creations in countless curious categories.

In 2015, the ACF site held 5 contests and 21 problems competed. This was fewer than in previous years because of a family illness, but the quality of problems was never better.

The problem categories spanned non-stroke forks, two-movers, deferred 2-way strokes, chases, and giant sextuple-jump strokes.

Roy Little won two contests handily, tied for first in a third, and tied for second in a fourth, earning him the Problemist of the Year title for the second straight year.

Bill Salot won one and tied for first in one. Roy and Bill were the only composers to compete in all five contests.

Leo Springer (Netherlands), competing for only the second time, tied for first in the final contest of 2015. He also won the final contest of 2013.

Jim Loy competed in only three contests, tied for first in one, tied for second in another.

Ed Atkinson competed in four contests and was runner-up in one of them.

We continue to correlate contest visitors and votes with time of year. The statistics are not consistent, but August has been the big month for the last two years:
