I've been to Charles Walker's ICHF many times and took many pictures, you will find some of them at the new Gallery.

It can't be that bad that no one responds, many pictures could use a description, or maybe add a book or magazine cover, rare photograph, etc.

How do we link to the art pages?

Remember that the library address is http://checkersusa.com/books/ and not the http://checkersusa.com/books/straight/index.htm address of the Straight Checkers room many of you use. The Arts page is a part of the Gallery ( http://checkersusa.com/gallery/ ) which is another project on the CheckersUSA.com site

There were also over 100 pictures on straight checkers, my plea to help describe them did not get the slightest response so I removed them.

Be aware that the content inside the Gallery is constantly added

Jake,
No wonder I couldn't find the pictures. They weren't there.
Some of us straight checker players are slow movers.

Jake,
I appreciate the 15 gallery pictures above. Unfortunately I can't magnify them or link to any others.
It is probably my ignorance at work; sorry about that.

Hi Bill,

All you need to do is click on the pictures, they open the directories of pictures. In there clicking on any thumbnail picture will open up the actual picture.
You can adjust the size of thumbnails on the bottom left, and change the number of pictures presented on the page on the bottom right

Of course you need to do this in the Gallery, not on the picture of the gallery posted here.

Frankly I am dying to hear some comments, otherwise it feels like all that effort was for nothing.

I have a little joke about this picture:
Image
A visitor found this old man playing checkers with his dog.
"I can't believe it! He is probably the smartest dog in the whole world!!!" the visitor exclaimed.
"Nah, he's not so smart," replied the old man. "I've beaten him three games out of five."
