Hi Alex!

This will be an awesome job , but don't forget that you are now over 50 so you get into 5th gear to get this book out on time

More seriously though, if you would like my comments to our World title challenge eliminator match in 2000 then just let me know.

Best regards

William

Hi William !

Many thanks for your generous offer ! Too good to refuse :D Indeed I accept it. I remember your comments in BDJ, it was awesome! Your comments will be masterpiece of my book "AMG"

Please, do not hesitate to add more wording inside comments - readers like insides and appreciate them.

BTW. We played our match in May-June 2001, during English Open in Morecambe, not in 2000.

Dear Alex, this looks like an amazing and highly worthwhile project.

Your figure of around 2400 games resonates in 2 ways:

This is approximately the number of complete games which 21st Century Checkers will feature when complete. (Most likely 2350)
Looking on Amazon today I note a book featuring Alekhine's complete chess games - by an excellent publisher, Macfarland - 2500 in number. This retails at approx. £100 new!

All the best with your great work!

PS Since The Legendary MFT was published, I've managed to find about 30 extra MFT games, bringing the total to 1306. These will be given when I write 'MFT in his own words'.

I think starting from 2002 I played around 122 events, tournaments and matches. From this number I didn't win approximately 9-10 events ...

1) OH 2002 (Bruch 1st, I finished 2nd)
2) PA 2005 (Ron King 1st, I finished 2nd)
3) USA National, It was 3 ways tie where Ron King had better HP and I was 2nd, Hallett - 3rd)
3) GAYP National 2005 (Ron King 1st, I tied 2-4 with J. Francis - 2nd, R. Beckwith - 3rd)
4) TN 2008 (Michael Holmes 1st. I finished 2nd)
5) IL 2008 (Richard Beckwith 1st, I finished 2nd)
6) GAYP National 2011 (Ron King 1st, I finished 2nd)
7) WCM 2013 (lost match to M. Borghetti)
8) QT 2014 (finished 3rd after L. Kondlo and S. Scarpetta)
9) Sport Accord 2014 (finished 3rd after M. Borghetti and S. Scarpetta)

Few times I tied for 1st place ... like National 2008 (I was winner with HP), or 2014 National (co-champion with L. Kondlo)

I never recorded what place I took, only number of winning-lost games. So ... there is a chance I missed something

=======================================================================================================================================

Thanks for your interest, book preparation is in progress.

Along with text of all games (2,600+), there will be also Opening Index, Players Index, Selected positions (1,500+) and 25-50 Selected games.

In difference with "Sixth", this book will be done by using POD method - "Print On demand" and available on Amazon. Though - not a very cheap deal and price of 600-700 pages in hard cover will be approximately $75.

After NC State Tourney last weekend total number of events from 1996 - 161. I counted 122 from 2002 when I started to understand a bit about checkers.
