James Morrison beat Richard Hallett in 2001 GAYP National with this line. I think this cook - trade, 13-17 & 6-9 originally came from Marion Tinsley, then it was passed to Don Lafferty and finally - James Morrison. Game Morrison vs Hallett was published in ACFB, but on low profile and didn't get enough public attention.
Couple years later I discussed with James Morrison about this line, and I remember the final resolution - after this trade two white moves are drawn, and two loses. The only problem I had - I didn't remember, which one loses !
I am very happy my loss happened in IL State ty, not a World Championship Match
I wish Michael good luck in Stonehaven, And I also am am very glad this loss didn't prohibit me to win this respectable event.
