Of the group pictured (Andy Metze, Michael Heckert, Kris Gordon, Victor Habgood, John Acker, Steve Jones, Matt Ward, Laura Smolyar, Ernie Koh, Jonathan McDonald and Nick Pell), I think only Vic, Jonathan, and I are still active in ACF tournaments. John Post, who was at the tournament (or possibly the next one; whichever one was GAYP) but not pictured, played at the 2010 Southern as well. As mentioned, Nick still plays online, as does Ernie, and I think I've seen Matt once or twice on Kurnik. Brandon Shinholser has played online sporadically, as has Clint Olsen, though I'm not sure if either has made it to a tournament recently. I think we had about a dozen players under age 30 at the 2000/2001 Nationals.

I do think John Post was there in 2001 altho he was very young then mb 14-15,i can remember playing him.Yes there was at least a dozen under 30 or more maybe. 2001 was the GAYP year.I have a few other photos from that year id need to get em scanned on.
