So here is an easy one for you all to solve:

Which chess world champion had a sister that was a national draughts champion ?

I am looking forward to your replies,

Boris Spassky - in 1961 he won the USSR championship at Baku with 10 wins, 9 draws, and 1 loss. His sister, Irena, had won the USSR championship in draughts (checkers).

Hi Ingo,

You might find the following one more difficult:

Of which opening and analyst did James Lees remark, that his play “upset the old and orthodox defence for a draw, and rendered nearly all the play in the books useless. “..........................
And to whom went the credit of “re-establishing the draw on a sound basis”.

(From my Christmas quiz, of a few years or so ago.)
