Why are front page problems repeating?

The current front page problem 2010-02-12 by Wardell is the same as earlier front page problem 2007-01-15.

Last week's front page problem 2010-02-05 by Lieberman is the same as earlier front page problem 2007-03-05.

That's nothing-- nearly every checkers book I own repeats this one!

Well my reasoning is simple:

1.) Most people haven't seen the problems from 2007.
2.) They're good problems.
3.) I could put a first position problem on there, something everyone has seen, and there would be people who will learn it for the first time.
4.) If people had seen the problem from 2007, there's a good chance they forgot it and now will relearn it

I had planned to repeat another problem and then find a new one for the following week, but since I've received a backlash for my choices (1 person), I'll post one that hasn't been posted yet this week.

I think you are making a wise choice to avoid repeats. There are too many other great problems that deserve their moment on the cover. For those who want to remember the old cover problems, they need only run down the list that is provided. That's what I did. Keep up the good work.
