------------------------------------------------------

Notes:
(A) (By Sune Thrane)

Yes, that is correct, 13-17 at move 14 loses after 23-18. 14.6-10 is the only move to draw.

(B)
14. ... 23-18! seems to win
ther are two alternatives:

I) 15.11-16 19-15, 16.3-8 32-28, 17. 16-20 28-24, 18. 20x27 31x24, 19.12-16 24-20, 20. 16-19 20-16, 21.7-11 16x7, 22. 6-9 14-10, 23. 8-12 21x14, 24. 12-16, white wins (Mac Banks)
II) 15. 6-10 31-27, 16. 17-22 21-17, 17.5-9! 14x5, 18. 10-15! 19x10, 19. 7x21 has to be examined. Not sure if that is a win, though still white is very strong. At least of offers good practical chances for survival. (Ingo Zachos)

19. ... 5-1, 20. 22-25 18-14, 20.25-29 1-6, 21. 29-25 6-10, 22. 25-22 14-9, 23.12-16 white win? (Tommy Canning)

(C)

"I am wondering whether Michele missed a win in game 2?
Michele played 17. ... 32-27, but 17. ... 30-26 wins? "(John Reade)

"Johns move with 17. ... 30-26 does leave red with some backward pieces and white with a good looking advantage, but still seems to draw out" (Tommy Canning)

"What if after 17. ... 30-26 the play goes 18. 6-9 19-15, 19. 11-16 14-10, 20. 9-14 18x9, 21. 5x14 15-11?" (John Reade)

"Well, the play would be 18. 6-9 19-18, 19. 3-8" (Sune Thrane)
