Nationals Games

Postby JohnAcker on Mon Aug 06, 2012 9:47 pm

During tournament week, I relied heavily on my team of game processors: Jim Loy, Jason Solan, and Travis Weddle. As games came in, I would organize and scan the scoresheets, distribute the PDF files to Jim, Jason, and Travis, and we'd all puzzle over missing moves and chicken-scratch (I'm looking at you, Jack Francis!) to reconstruct the submitted games.

Between the masters (who are required to record & submit games) and some of the majors and minors, we collected and processed nearly 300 games. We are offering the unannotated games for free online, in hopes that players everywhere will learn from them and consider supporting the ACF financially. The games are in standard PDN format, so you can load and analyze them via your favorite program, or you can just play through them using your own board-- maybe you'll discover a killer cook to try at your next tourney! Enjoy.

John, i think the text of task on title diagram should be listed as: "Red to move and draw (3 ways)" instead "Red to move and draw".

Great team efforts though setting a standard and record, thanks guys !!!

It will be nice if WCDF follow ACF on this matter and assign an official Game Processor(s) for the upcoming QT in Lille.

These people must be assign BEFORE event comes up, not after. In Beijing 2008 64-draughts and 10x10 posted their games in real time same or next day after round.

Great Job, John.

And many thanks to Jim Loy, Jason Solan and Travis Weddle.

you all deserve to be knighted.

Dont worry, Alex. This time at the WMSG the games will be processed during the rounds, as we take equipment for that with us, and depending on the internet connection in Lille I will try to post as many games as possible, like Ezio Valentini did in San Remo 2011.

I hope I can find a few players that assist with it like Ezio had the Italian kids who helped, and in that way also learnt a lot.
