Alabama - my love forever !

Postby Alex_Moiseyev on Fri Nov 04, 2011 7:50 am

This year I plan to attend this wonderful state tournament again. When I visited it first time several years ago, I was a bit sceptical about it's status as "heart of America" but my scepticism was gone - this is true statement indeed ! Wonderful people and wonderful place.

I am looking for roomate, smoking or someone who can tolerate it.

Respectfully,

Alex Moiseyev

Very happy to see a great turnout for the tournament. Was too busy with life to attend, but very encouraging numbers compared to my previous 3 tournaments. Congrats to Alex on yet another state title!

Fantastic scenario where winner of event was decided in the last game of last round ! Before game started Dr. John Webster was one point ahead and this forced me to win the game to secure 1st place. I had white pieces in opening 9-13, 23-19, 10-15

Nice and very strong turnout. Many thanks to Frank and Mary for referring and everyone who contributed to success of event.

This is first time in my long Anglo-American checkers practrice (16 years, 130 events) where 3 wins only was enought for clear 1st pace without tie ! WOW

This simply means that noone wanted to lose  and there were alot of drawn rounds among leaders. I was unable to destroy defensive block of Albert, Anthony, Clay, Larry and John (in earlier round).

Dr. John Webster with 16 points was also alone and 6 players (!!!) tied for 3rd place with 15 points. Great and tough competition.

We have in house a small table where my daughter designed all my trophies. She said that we need another table because there is no room available.

Respectfully,

Alex, I have easy answer for that. Stop winning trophies! :P
I'm sure that Clara won't allow that to happen and will find another table for her daddy's trophies. Anyway congratulations on another fine win and also cograts to Lynn and Dustin.

Kudos to Larry, Frank and Mary and to any others who helped organize and put on the tournament, it obviously was a good one.
