Young Mr. Fortman

Over the past 50 years Richard Fortman has been one of the best annotators the game of checkers has ever had.If not the best.Having received my copy of the Ohioan Yearbook prepared by Richard Beckwith, and after going over the games,I recommend that Richard deserves the title "young Mr.Fortman". It's a great book. :D

Thanks for the kind words, Steve.

I have been much influenced by the work of Richard Fortman over the years, which is likely apparent in my annotations style. I also annotated 36 games in the upcoming 8th I.M. match book.

The new "Ohio book" also shows some influence from Alex Moiseyev (use of diagrams, annotating what I was thinking during the game, etc.), who reviewed a portion of Ohio book and offered great advice. Alex's upcoming "Sixth" will be a phenomenal breakthrough in annotating a checkers book.
