California Checker Association

The California Checker Association supports checker players in the state of California and is open to correspondence and interaction with checker players throughout the world. The CCA has submitted the winning bid for hosting several National Tournaments, including those held in 2001 - 2002 and 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The CCA is headed by President John Gibson. CCA Secretary / Treasurer Gerry Lopez of Temecula, California, has been the point man for the CCA in organizing National Tournaments in Las Vegas. Gerry is a master player in his own right who works as a university language professor and speaks four languages fluently!
