The 11-Man Ballot championship took place recently in Richmond, Virginia between the champion Elbert Lowder and the challenger Alex Moiseyev. The match, which consisted of 20 games in total, concluded with six wins apiece, and eight games drawn. Lowder won games #1, 2, 3, 16, 18, and 19, and Moiseyev won games #5, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 20.
By virtue of a tie, Lowder retains his 11-Man ballot title. This is the second time Moiseyev has drawn a championship match, the first being a drawn match against Ron King in a Go-As-You-Please Championship match in 2001.
