Mac Banks Wins World Mail-Play Championship!

American Mac Banks wrestled the World Mail-Play Championship from the hands of Englishman George Miller in 2004 after completing a tough schedule against the world's leading correspondence players with a final score of 12-1-107. Miller claimed ownership of the title after defeating American Jerry Childers in 1998 and held on to the title by virtue of a drawn match against Banks in 2002. This time, after Miller agreed to a round-robin format against the top five players in the world, Mr. Banks left no room for doubt, winning against a field that included Miller, Welshman Nigel Profitt, and Canadian Bill Carter, and American Bert Vanderpool.
